Cosmetic Dentist in New Jersey Assists Dental Resident Education
Hillsborough, NJ — At his center for cosmetic dentistry in New Jersey, Cornerstone Dental, Dr. John Beckwith has recently announced he will be helping educate students at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center by overseeing a dental residency program and instructing new dentists. Joining a faculty of well-known speakers and dental professionals, Dr. Beckwith says he is honored to be given the opportunity to further the field of dentistry by teaching future dentists the skills and techniques needed to produce safe, excellent results. He says he is excited to be a part of the dental residency program and looks forward to being able to share his expertise in performing procedures ranging from porcelain veneers to dental implants.
The Jersey Shore University Medical Center features several programs for engaging residents and enhancing their knowledge of dental procedures, including a Continuing Dental Education Series, formal lectures, and a resident rotation that offers exposure to numerous areas of dentistry. Whether they are observing a laser dentistry procedure or participating in a hands-on experience performing routine treatments, Dr. Beckwith says the program offers invaluable training for residents and he is grateful to play a part in enriching their education process. He says staying active in the dental community is an essential duty of his role as a dentist, one he hopes to continue pursuing throughout his career.
“It’s a privilege to be selected as a clinician to help train new dentists moving forward. Some services go beyond what we’re taught in dental school and are developed throughout our careers. I am excited to show and teach future dentists these techniques.”
Having been honored by NJ Top Docs as one of the Top Dentists in New Jersey, Dr. Beckwith says continued education has been the crux of his practice since he began practicing dentistry. He says participation in courses such as the Misch International Implant InstituteTM surgical program, recently held in Orlando, has been instrumental in honing his skills and precision in procedures such as dental implants. From implant dentistry to teeth whitening, Dr. Beckwith says keeping up-to-date with the latest techniques and technology in dentistry has allowed him to continue providing patients with the most advanced care in the industry.
“Dentistry continually evolves and the technology that is employed to deliver fine care is constantly changing… Dentistry is a dynamic field and the only way for us to stay current is by constantly engaging in continuing education as part of our dental training.”
As he prepares to assume the attending dentist position at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Dr. Beckwith says he continues to stress the importance of continued education to patients looking for dentistry in New Jersey. He encourages patients to extensively research both their procedures and their dentist before settling on a practice. Dr. Beckwith says consulting with a properly-trained and qualified dentist will ensure patients receive the highest quality results possible.
